Paws on King

Jodi Moreland, owner of Paws on King, is very experienced with dogs.  She and her family, have owned many Ch Airedale's from Regal Ridge Kennels.  At age 12, Jodi picked out her first puppy - a wise Scottish Terrier pup, Ms O'Malley.  A few years later, Jodi aquired a feisty Welsh Terrier, Charlie Boy!  They taught her well, especially the Scottie..  When Jodi ventured on her own, she was teamed up with a pair of Ch Airedales, from Kitch Kennels.  Through owning these lovely animals, Jodi became well-versed with hand-stripping, and carding.  She is fab at creating the desirable illusion on the terrier coats.  Today, Jodi owns two beautiful Giant Schnauzers from HiStyle Kennels, and a Standard Poodle From MyDeer Poodles  ~ All three of which, Jodi feels simply tickled and blessed to go through life with!

Jodi Moreland is a school Certified Master Groomers, since '91.  She is currently competing in Grooming Competitions in the North East region of the USA.

Jodi is a strong contender in the hand-strip class, and her skills are second to none.  While Jodi is off competing, she also takes in educational seminars, to keep herself on the edge of learning her trade, as well as sharing her learned information with her clients and staff ~ We aim to keep ourselves educated on our industry, for the sake of our fur-clients.

Jodi just received another 1st place with her Giant Schnauzer hand strip and 2nd with her Westie hand strip ~ She is now a Level 3 competitor!  Now accumulating Groom Team points!  Way to go Jodi!!

A little more about Jodi...

Jodi started her career while attending High School, she was a part-time Veterinary Technician, and soon became a full-time Vet Tech once finished High School.  She continued as a full-time Vet Tech for 2.5 yrs, and then decided to attend the NY School of Dog Grooming, in 1991, to attend their Certified Master Grooming Program.  Jodi graduated with a mark of 100%.

Jodi has owned and operated her own pet spa since then, and has had a close relationship with the Veterinarians in her community.  Jodi has made a real mark when it comes to her pet clients!  When Jodi meets a new pet, she discusses with the parent in detail exactly what they want out of the grooming session, and then she aims to exceed expectations!  Dogs often leave Jodi more relaxed and assured then when they arrived...  This has been very conforting to the pet owners with dogs that have issues at the groomers - Jodi makes sure that each pet groomed at Paws on King, is given the amount of time they need, to never feel rushed, enjoying each session ~ For the health and well-being of your pet!
